Formerly called the “impenetrable forest” due to its incredibly dense and inhospitable formation, the Chaco is the second largest remaining primary forest in Latin America after the Amazon rainforest. The Gran Chaco region extends to the west of Paraguay, Bolivia, and Argentina. Paraguay is home to petitgrain and mate, grown by thousands of smallholder farmers. The whole region is also known for the important cultivation of citrus fruits. These ingredients were our starting point to create A “new cologne” with a distinctive accord, built like a tea fragrance. Petitgrain essential oil has been combined with other citrus extracts including orange from neighboring Brazil. Gaiacwood plays a background role and has been associated with a bouquet of different woods.
