Indonesia is a land rich in spices and one of the world’s most important origins for natural ingredients with fine fragrances. The island of Sulawesi is where today the iconic Patchouli plant is grown by thousands of smallholder farmers, after decades of this the harvest gradually moves from its original homeland in Aceh, to the eastern parts of the archipelago. The iconic Patchouli essential oil, known locally as Nilam, has been the starting point of the Sulawesi fragrance. We have used high-quality molecular distillation extracts of Patchouli essential oil and combined with other local aromatic ingredients that pay homage to the forests of Indonesia. The other local ingredients are a rectified nutmeg essential oil and a clove bud essential oil to provide spicy notes. Natural extracts The local variety of benzoin gum known as Benzoin Sumatra complements the fragrance with amber facets. The note is complemented by cedars, ambox and musks to pleasantly complement the fragrance It offers a full woody and amber fragrance.
