L’Azienda apistica “I Mori di Paestum” nasce nel cuore del Parco Nazionale del Cilento, in una terra antica, ricca di storia e tradizione mai toccata dall’agricoltura intensiva, così le nostre api trovano giovamento da questo territorio incontaminato.
L’apicoltura si trova nella stessa area dove gli antichi greci cominciarono la colonizzazione della Magna Graecia e dove portarono per la prima volta i loro alveari.
Dei primi alveari si ha testimonianza sugli affreschi della cosiddetta tomba dell’apicoltore, ritrovata nei pressi dell’antica città.
La nostra filosofia è quella di produrre miele rispettando l’ape, la natura, le tradizioni e di trasportare nei nostri prodotti la storia e i sapori di queste terre.
