FILIPPO SORCINELLI RELIQVIA DIFFUSER 500ML

A tribute to Reliqvia, the tenth fragrance in the UNUM collection, dedicated to a simply extraordinary place, rich in history and works of art but a great custodian of important relics of the Passion of Christ: the Church of the Cross, considered one of the jewels of the Italian Baroque. This oratory, dating back to 1608, was built at the behest of the Confraternity of the Sacrament and the Cross still operating today and of which Filippo is a member with precise positions as organist and artistic director.

Reliqvia speaks of the walls covered in gilded wood, finely decorated with carvings and reliefs, speaks of the incensed steps towards the great high altar, like a golden embroidery, where inside is kept the statue of the dead Christ, a wooden work of the seventeenth century and visible only once a year. But he also wants to synesthetically frame Federico Barocci’s altarpiece, the Transport of Christ to the Sepulchre, one of the most beautiful works by the Urbino painter executed in 1582, and for which he also designed the frame.

Reliqvia, is therefore a place to meet to evoke memory, to remember the time that passes and that becomes solemn and authentic gold, a message of corruptibility and incorruptibility.

Reliqvia is the concrete trace, the last trace, to describe in life an existence above us, different and prodigious. It is the wardrobe that is always closed, the precious custody of sacred men that makes us understand that time is precious and that it risks being consumed without making us leave a clear furrow in life.

Reliqvia is the nail of the Passion, incense layered and peaty by solemn and sacred years.

There is no sacred, if the men of the sacred do not recognize it as such, and exalt it in perfect rites.
