The "extrait de musique" collection wants to describe with incense the numerous sounds of the registers of the Great Organ of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris.
The sixth new fragrance that is presented, speaks synaesthetically of the trumpet register, belonging to the family of reeds, one of the oldest organ registers. The first documented evidence of this register is found in a description of a large organ of the first century BC, placed in an arena for gladiators.
The reed registers the sound thanks to the vibration of a tab (the reed) on two walls.
Characterized by a particularly metallic and "scratchy" sound just like real trumpets, they enrich and complete the instrument.
The cap, like the previous extrait de musique, faithfully reproduces the tie rod of the registers of the Great Parisian Organ.
Trompette 8 is enclosed like the previous ones inside a wooden box entirely handmade, reminiscent of the wooden case of the large harmonic boxes of the pipe organs.
