OUD MARRAKECH is an olfactory photograph of the Medina of Marrakech where, at sunset, a young water seller makes his way through the people in Jamaa el-Fna square, among spice merchants, henna tattoo artists and snake charmers. From the top of a terrace where he climbs, he listens to the voice of the muezzin which surrounds the square, he closes his eyes and smiles. It is his father’s song. It is the sound of its history.

The fragrance opens with a green accord that smells of infusions,
mint tea and perfumed waters, an indelible memory of every
traveller who arrives in Marrakech. The woody notes mixed with coffee and
tabacco tell the story of the scent of the young
water seller’s robe: a reference to the aromas of hookahs trapped in the
fabric fibers and mixed with merchants’ Oud and incense. The same
odor found on the terraces of Jamaa el-Fna, where the young man ran
to hear his father’s voice.
